I'm Sam Valme. I live in Northern Virginia with my wife and two daughters, and I work in channel and marketing at AvePoint.

This site is a record, not a magazine. I try something, then write down what I thought while I still remember it. Some of it is useful to other people. Most of it is here so I can find it again.

A few things worth knowing.

I rate on a 5-point scale. 5 out of 5 means I would do it again and it's excellent. Lower scores still get written up, because a site where everything is great is no use to anyone.

Recipes only appear here if I've cooked them myself.

My family shows up in what I write, but never by name. My wife is my wife. My daughters are my oldest and my youngest, with their age at the time.

I'm not an expert in any of this. I pay attention and I write it down.
